Letter from Egypt - In Search Of A Lost Arab Identity

Morris: A thoughtful person's anguish ....

"As an Egyptian I can tell you that people here are totally blinded by the Egyptian media that drives egypt to a bloody civil war. Egyptians are very emotional and can be easily angered. I think the Mossad and the CIA are doing a great job here.

There is no way out for Egypt.
I see whats happening in the world now as the beginning of the last chapter of an old conspiracy. The truth is what one of your guests said: we are experiencing the third shift of power from the USA to Israel. This can be the only explanation.
I have participated in the 25th of January revolution from the first day. It all started from Facebook, people were very inspired by the Tunisian revolution. Everyone thought it was the "Arab spring". What is very contradictory is that Egyptians were very happy by Obama supporting the revolution but when Morsi was elected they accused him of cooperating with Obama.
The USA, Israel and Nato would never support the "Arab spring" if it was really a "spring". I think since the fall of the Caliphate in 1924 the Arab/Muslim world lost its identity. The Arab spring has started the war between political Islam and secularism and whats happening in the Arab world now is a bloody search of a lost identity.
Democracy is a joke."
