Jewish Land Thieves Destroy Olive Trees In West Bank + Israeli Land Thieves Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque With Help From Regime Green Shirts

Another group of Israeli land thieves have destroyed scores of olive trees in the occupied West Bank.
UK Banned Press TV: The settlers destroyed around 200 trees belonging to Palestinian farmers in the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalailya in the occupied West Bank, said Ghassan Daghlas, the Palestinian official in charge of monitoring illegal settlers' activities in the area.
He said the settlers from 39 Israeli settlements neighboring the area uprooted the olive saplings on Sunday.
Israeli settlers launch attacks against Palestinians and their property as well as Islamic holy sites.
On January 1, al-Tadamun Foundation for Human Rights, an NGO, said in an annual report that an estimated 8,000 trees, some of them hundreds of years old, had been damaged and destroyed altogether by the Israelis.
"Settlers' attacks include uprooting, burning and cutting down olive trees… Olive groves were also flooded by wastewater from the settlements," said the rights group, adding, "We have been unable to count the hundreds of trees damaged in groves close to settlements due to Israeli security measures."
According to villagers living south of the West Bank city of Nablus, genocidal Israeli land thieves who call themselves 'settlers' used chemicals in several cases last June to burn 1,500 trees there. In the blaze that followed, more than 49 acres of prime agricultural land was also destroyed.

The presence and continued expansion of Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine has created a major obstacle for the efforts to establish peace in the Middle East.
More than half a million Israelis live in over 120 illegal settlements built since Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds in 1967.
The United Nations and most countries regard the Israeli settlements as illegal because the territories were captured by Israel in a war in 1967 and are hence subject to the Geneva Conventions, which forbid construction on occupied lands.

Israeli Land Thieves Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

UK Banned Press TV: Dozens of Israeli settlers have stormed the compound of al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the regime's special forces and soldiers.
On Sunday, over 40 Israeli settlers entered the compound through al-Mughrabi gate and were led by the extremist Rabbi Yehuda Glick.

“Settlers have been invading … the mosque’s squares, led by one of the rabbis and accompanied and protected by special forces and the Israeli police.... Lots of Israeli soldiers were protecting them,” Jamal Juma, a Palestinian activist, said.
“This is not the first time,” he further noted, adding that the Israeli forces attack the mosque every day.
The al-Aqsa Mosque is Islam’s third-holiest site after Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

“This is not the first time that the settlers attack al-Aqsa Mosque. There are continuous attacks against East al-Quds (Jerusalem) and al-Aqsa,” said Sheikh Hassan Yousef, the leader of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas in the occupied West Bank.
In recent months, Israeli forces and settlers have stepped up their attacks on the mosque. This has led to violent confrontations between the two sides.
Israel has also imposed severe restrictions to prevent Muslim worshippers from entering the mosque.
The Israeli regime forces banned thousands of Palestinians, including men under the age of 50, from entering or praying in the holy site during this week’s Friday prayers.
The forces also encircled the people who held prayer services on the streets near the mosque. Dozens of Palestinians were injured when Israeli troops fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse those protesting the restrictions.
Earlier in February, Israeli forces stormed the holy site during Friday prayers. Israeli soldiers fired rubber bullets and stun grenades at the people who were praying at the mosque. At least 20 people, including children, were wounded in the violence.
