Mike Buchanan: While Ian Young was given the pseudonym 'John' by the presenter of this programme, Sarah Julian, he's prepared to be known by his actual name, and he's agreed to us using that in this piece.


Ian Young is an increasingly well-known commentator on domestic violence issues, and speaks from personal experience – he was a victim of DV during his 17-year-long marriage. He’s been interviewed quite a number of times in the media, and this is his latest radio interview, on BBC Radio Nottingham. It’s a sensitive and moving interview, ably led by Sarah Julian.
