WARNING: Avoid This Corrupt, Third-World Country At All Costs

B John Anderson, an American tourist from San Clemente, California, was driving down a poorly-maintained highway when he saw flashing lights in his rearview mirror.
After a brief exchange with the local police officer, Anderson was shocked when the cop started searching his vehicle.
Anderson had $25,180 in US dollar cash in the car, which by the way was not a crime according to the local laws.
When the cop saw it, he told Anderson that we would take it and threatened him with arrest if he protested.
Anderson couldn’t believe it. This is the sort of stuff you always hear about in these third world countries—corrupt cops and state robbery.
Ultimately Anderson gave in; the cop let him go and did not charge him with a crime, but took every last penny in the vehicle.
And for the last two years, Anderson has been trying to unsuccessfully fight it in the country’s Kangaroo court system.
Clearly we should all avoid going to such dangerously corrupt third world countries.
Except in this case, Anderson was in the United States of America. And he is far from being the only victim of this highway robbery known as Civil Asset Forfeiture.

We Ignore The Collapse Of Marriage At Our Peril

A new analysis (from Harry Benson of The Marriage Foundation) showing Britain is the Western European capital of family breakdown also shows, definitively, that lone parenthood is driving it:  the separation of unmarried parents, not divorce, as many might assume. Only in Eastern Europe, where only Latvia does worse than us, does divorce remain the main driver.
You might think as a result of such a worrying finding that urgent meetings would be taking place at Number 10 on how best to reverse this trend.  You’d also be forgiven for believing that relationship experts would be pushing for pro-active marriage policies, as in several  America States, in response to their similar crisis. According to Harry they are not. Marriage does not even enter their vocabulary.
About the only ray of light, revealed yesterday in the Daily Mail, is that responsibility for family policy has been shifted from Nicky Morgan at Education to Iain Duncan Smith at Welfare. Since IDS, through the work of the think-tank he founded, the Centre for Social Justice, is one of the few ministers prepared to sing the praises of marriage, that is encouraging. But if  this only adds up to applying the Government’s so-called “family friendly” test to policies, first announced by David Cameron in the summer, it will prove a pointless exercise. Family Friendly is no more than a slippery piece of spin, intended to gull the public into thinking that the Tories stand up for traditional values when, after Cameron’s obsession with modernity, they no longer do any such thing.

Bank Of Japandemonium Resorts To “Monetary Shamanism,” And All Heck Breaks Loose

By Wolf Richter:  With impeccable timing – on Halloween, which is increasingly popular in Japan among adults who are trying to escape their reality – Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda formally announced that he’d cure Japan’s economic and fiscal ills by resorting entirely, and not just partially, to “monetary shamanism.”
That’s what Izuru Kato, an economist and president of Totan Research, calls Kuroda’s dubious strategy. Japan practiced QE before it ever become a term in English. With predictable results: it did nothing for the economy but triggered unbridled government profligacy that generated ever larger budget deficits and an insurmountable mountain of debt.
But the QE that the BOJ has unleashed since April 2013 isn’t just QE anymore. It’s QQE: quantitative and qualitative easing. No-holds-barred QE. So in the true spirit of Halloween, Kuroda promised that the BOJ would:

  • Increase the monetary base by ¥80 trillion annually (over 16% of GDP!), up from the previous commitment of ¥60-70 trillion. In a few years, its balance sheet will exceed Japan’s GDP.
  • Increase its JGB holdings by ¥80 trillion annually, up 60% from the prior insanity.
  • Lengthen the average remaining maturity of its JGB holdings to 7-10 years, up from the current goal of 6-8 years. Before Kuroda arrived at the BOJ, the average maturity was under 3 years.
  • Triple the annual purchases of ETFs and J-REITs.
  • And keep doing all of this until hell freezes over.

Recruiting Domestic Violence Spies

By : In probably the most frightening news to date, the White Ribbon mob has publicized their latest inroads into the annals of infamy with their Breaking the Silence in Schools Program. The Age, that bastion of doubleplusgoodthink, ran an editorial for them called Boys act on domestic violence.”
We are to believe a schoolboy spontaneously became aware of feminist domestic violence statistics and found them “scary.” So scary, in fact, that he spontaneously decided to take action.

The resulting Waverley College Violence Against Women Forum – conceived and implemented almost entirely by the student leaders – aims to get students thinking about attitudes and behaviours that can lead boys and men to hurt girls and women.
Spontaneously, the White Ribbon lot got involved. With coincidental spontaneity, Channel 7’s Andrew O’Keefe, along with other domestic violence luminaries, spoke at the forum. Caught up in the spirit of spontaneity, The Age suddenly felt moved to publish an editorial on the matter.
We are assured:

Content was produced without advertiser influence.
Spontaneously, we are to imagine that “without advertiser influence” and “ideologically unbiased” are one and the same thing. This, of course, requires us to ignore that “family violence,” “domestic violence,” and “family and domestic violence” are all interchangeable terms for the same phenomenon: violence against women.”
Can a man be a victim of domestic violence?

The Full #GamerGate BBC Interview With Sargon

"The movement has been hijacked by a few people (journalists) for their own purposes whatever they may be, distracting attention away from the ethical problems, corruption, etc.."
Sargon of Akkad: I feel obliged to publish a recording I made of my full BBC interview. The interview I gave about #GamerGate was 15 minutes long and less than 1 minute of it was featured in the BBC's podcast, but I do understand that production costs money and the BBC did do an admirable job of summarising my position.

2 Years In Prison For Trolling In Orwellian UK?! + US Fappening And Media Hypocrisy

"I should be Britain's most wanted!"  The Amazing Atheist

"At What Point Does Revolution Take Place?" - US Ignorance Index

: Reuters has published the result of what is being touted as the Ignorance Index. The one question as an example: “Guess how many U.S. girls aged 15-19 give birth each year. Go ahead, guess. If you calculated the number at 3 percent you’re correct; if you guessed 24 percent, you’re American.”
I rarely watch TV. If I do, it tends to be national news – never local news who seem to think a burning house is news or some guy shot his wife in a domestic dispute. I was at dinner and the TV was on. I could not believe the TV advertisements for the elections. They are all NEGATIVE calling the other a liar or misrepresenting the facts on everything. One said the candidate cut the number of police, made the streets more dangerous and then shows a picture of ISIS and then said she raise taxes. Then the very next advertisement flips and calls the other a liar for something or another. There was ZERO advertisement about anything other than vote for me because I lie less that the other liar.
It seems that the Ignorant Index may be more tied to the bias and lack of integrity of the media. They focus on sensationalism to gain readership and in the process focus of one thing and create false images in the minds of the average person.

Greeks Protest Bankster 'Austerity Measures' In Athens + Independence or Default - Catalonia Won't Pay!

The Greeks rallied in Athens in protest of austerity measures.
Orwellian UK BANNED Press TV: The protesters gathered outside the Greek parliament in central Athens on Saturday, calling for political and economic reforms as well as pay rises and more job opportunities.
The massive rally was organized by trade union, PAME, with dozens of other unions participating to condemn the austerity policies of the government.
The Saturday demonstration is the latest rally in a series of similar anti-austerity protests in Greece over the past months. The protest comes as the Greek government is preparing for its final bailout inspection ahead of receiving loan installments from other eurozone countries.
The draconian terms of the EU 'bailout' agreements have already taken their toll on ordinary Greeks, causing anger and fear among the public.
Conservative Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has promised to ease the terms of the agreements and pull the debt-stricken country out of recession.
In 2008, a recession hit Greece’s economy, which has shrunk by more than a quarter. Greek economic woes have been exacerbated by the waves of austerity measures imposed by international banksters.

Arguing With Communists: An Examination of Class Systems!

Stefan Molyneux: I've been arguing with a lot of communists, is there such thing as a 'class' as in monetary disparity - or is it something else? Includes: Communist entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs are the working class, dumpster freedom, the class of IQ, stoking the resentment of unintelligent people and making philosophy user friendly.

The Profit In Sex Addiction

By : One of my favorite sayings has always been “When all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.” A similar philosophy applies to the treatment of sexual problems. The label of “sex addiction” is a big, lucrative hammer, and every sexual problem is just asking to be nailed.” For the past year, I’ve been working on a new book, The Myth of Sex Addiction, and one of the things I found extremely concerning was just how much this field is driven by profit motives.
The finances that lie behind the concept of sex addiction are a significant concern. Treatment for sex addiction is not cheap. A month’s treatment at some residential sex addiction treatment programs can cost over $37,000. Sex addiction is big business. All the celebrity attention to sex addiction has driven many more people into the offices of sex addiction therapists nationwide. Alexandra Katehakis, a sex addiction therapist with a practice in California, says that “celebrities have been the greatest evangelists for treatment. My practice wouldn’t exist without them.”
And it’s not just therapeutic business now. Sex addiction treatment is business in the entertainment industry as well. The Logo Channel has a reality show called Sex Rx, focusing on the therapy needs of a group of LGBT clients treated by Christopher Donaghue, a self-proclaimed specialist in sex addiction treatment. The VH1 channel previously had Sex Rehab, with celebrity physician Dr. Drew, which delved into the sexual issues of celebrities and focused on sexual addiction. According to the Sex Rehab show’s website, 6% of the American population is afflicted with sex addiction, though no reference is given to shed light on this number.
