Gilhad Atzmon with George Galloway MP and Gayatri

The world's greatest saxophone player is something to be. He's not American as you might expect. In fact, he came upon these genres in the only record shop - as we used to call them - in Tel Aviv. He even served in the Israeli Army.
Gilhad Atzmon is politically fascinating, artistically he's a genius, and he joins Sputnik. And if music has “charm to soothe the savage beast”, it certainly soothed me in the 1960s when I discovered Tamla Motown and its edgier cousin Stax. Our second guest, Motown singer and DJ, Miss H is a long way from the Motor City, Detroit; she's now based in Manchester. But just how far is the Michigan soul factory from today's X Factor conveyor belt of manufactured music. Perhaps, not as far as you think. George Galloway MP
