"I'm a Russian living in Melbourne, Australia for 7 years now. At the age of 19 while in a long-term relationship I made a commitment to not get married until the age of 35 to give myself plenty of time to figure our why the rate of divorce is so high. My parents divorced when I was 16 and all my relatives are remarried. I'm 31 now and the closer I get to that age the less desire I have for getting married. Living in both Russia and Australia allowed me to see the mating game from two sides, while being the prey and the predator. What girls experience in a Western country is precisely what men experience in Russia. Back at home men are the ones who receive a lot of attention, yet the outcome is exactly the same.

You're hunting for your resources perhaps even more so than in a Western world. But that's nothing new. What I would like your opinion on is the last hope of finding a perfect mate I have. The idea comes from my best friend who, after having a lot of disappointed relationships, marries a virgin of Armenian descent. He was seeing her for about 4 years before marrying her at the age of 24 while he was 27. They are together for many years now and he's the leader of the family in the best sense of the word. He suggests me to do the same - marry a young woman and 'mold' her to my own standards. I can totally see how this is almost impossible to do in a Western country where girls are taught to
'experience the world', but in Russia where girls are still programmed for being a wife in the first place since their earlier childhood there's a great possibility of doing that. The only fault I see in this approach is not knowing a true character of the girl. Will she grow up to be intelligent or not? But than again if I'm doing the 'molding' perhaps I could teach her that.
