University Of Toronto, A Feminist 'Faux Victimhood' Campus

Students have proclaimed the University of Toronto (U of T) to be a Feminist Campus, with the blessing and support of the university administration. Professor Janice Fiamengo from the University of Ottawa criticizes the U of T administrator's cowardice and double standards in failing to maintain objectivity and intellectual integrity by bowing to the hysteria of ideological feminists.

Amanda Marcotte Is Determined To Make Me Famous. Yay!

By : Amanda Marcotte has once again let her fee-fees decide her actions without really thinking them through
She wrote an article at Slate about the Marie Claire profile of me and the HoneyBadgers, and she is not happy with Jen Oritz at all. Amanda doesn’t wike me! She doesn’t wike Jen Oritz much either. How dare Jen act like a semi-professional journalist and write something reasonably fair and balanced?!?! That bitch!

Intriguingly, and confusingly for us feminists, once you get past the trolling, there are actual not-crazy changes men’s rights activists (MRAs) want to see: prohibiting circumcision of baby boys, domestic abuse aid for male victims, refining paternity rights,” Ortiz writes. This is the only misfire in an excellent piece. There is no core of good intentions underneath the trolling. They’re not fighting for men’s well-being. That’s just the cover story for the real agenda, which is fighting women’s equality and making it impossible to speak out for women without having to withstand a torrent of abuse. The women’s role is to spew the most vile misogyny, because they can hide behind their gender to deny what’s really going on.
Goddammit, which one of you HoneyBadgers gave Amanda the Super Extra Absolutely Hush-Hush Top Secret Club Rules Book?

There's Nothing Pro-Women About Telling Girls Who Can't Remember The Night Before To Cry Rape

By Belinda Brown: One of the central duties of the Director of Public Prosecutions is to inspire society’s faith in the criminal justice system. But through a number of wayward judgments, current incumbent Alison Saunders is hardly succeeding in that task.
Following the furore sparked by her refusal - subsequently overturned - to bring charges against Labour peer Lord Janner over serious allegations of child abuse, she finds herself embroiled in another row, this time over the incendiary issue of rape.

Treat Meat Eaters Like Smokers, Warns Jeremy Corbyn’s New Radical Feminist Vegan Farming Minister Kerry McCarthy

Via Martin of J4MB: Kerry McCarthy on a collision course with British farmers. From the article:
In an interview with Viva!life, a magazine for vegans, she admitted she was a “militant” when it came to clamping down on meat consumption
She said: I really believe that meat should be treated in exactly the same way as tobacco, with public campaigns to stop people eating it.

By Mike Buchanan: Is Ms McCarthy’s appointment Jeremy Corbyn’s idea of a joke, in common with his appointment of Gloria De Piero, former shadow minister for Women & Equalities, to a position that has never existed before - minister for young people and voter registration - so GDP (twice a winner of our Lying Feminist of the Month award) isn’t actually ‘shadowing’ anyone?

The Wandering Who; Forward. By Gilad Atzmon

"My grandfather was a charismatic poetic veteran Zionist terrorist, a former prominent commander of the right wing Irgun terror organisation, he had, I must admit, a tremendous influence on me in my early days." Read by Jeremiah.

Russia’s False Hopes

'If Russia and Iran let their guard down,
they will be nuked, and so will China.'
By Paul Craig Roberts: Russia so desperately desires to be part of the disreputable and collapsing West that Russia is losing its grip on reality.
Despite hard lesson piled upon hard lesson, Russia cannot give up its hope of being acceptable to the West. The only way Russia can be acceptable to the West is to accept vassal status.
Russia miscalculated that diplomacy could solve the crisis that Washington created in Ukraine and placed its hopes on the Minsk Agreement, which has no Western support whatsoever, neither in Kiev nor in Washington, London, and NATO.

Russia can end the Ukraine crisis by simply accepting the requests of the former Russian territories to reunite with Russia. Once the breakaway republics are again part of Russia, the crisis is over. Ukraine is not going to attack Russia.
Russia doesn’t end the crisis, because Russia thinks it would be provocative and upset Europe. Actually, that is what Russia needs to do—upset Europe. Russia needs to make Europe aware that being Washington’s tool against Russia is risky and has costs for Europe.
Instead, Russia shields Europe from the costs that Washington imposes on Europe and imposes little cost on Europe for acting against Russia in Washington’s interest. Russia still supplies its declared enemies, whose air forces fly provocative flights along Russia’s borders, with the energy to put their war planes into the air.

Uruguay Does Unthinkable, Rejects Global Corporatocracy

By Don Quijones: Often referred to as the Switzerland of South America, Uruguay is long accustomed to doing things its own way. It was the first nation in Latin America to establish a welfare state. It also has an unusually large middle class for the region and unlike its giant neighbors to the north and west, Brazil and Argentina, is largely free of serious income inequality.
Two years ago, during José Mujica’s presidency, Uruguay became the first nation to legalize marijuana in Latin America, a continent that is being ripped apart by drug trafficking and its associated violence and corruption of state institutions.
Now Uruguay has done something that no other semi-aligned nation on this planet has dared to do: it has rejected the advances of the global corporatocracy.

The Treaty That Must Not Be Named

Earlier this month Uruguay’s government decided to end its participation in the secret negotiations of the Trade in Services Agreement (TISA). After months of intense pressure led by unions and other grassroots movements that culminated in a national general strike on the issue – the first of its kind around the globe – the Uruguayan President Tabare Vazquez bowed to public opinion and left the US-led trade agreement.
Despite – or more likely because of – its symbolic importance, Uruguay’s historic decision has been met by a wall of silence. Beyond the country’s borders, lame-stream media has refused to cover the story.

That Sexist Biology!

Feminists are lowering standards because biology is sexist and this is why it's stupid. Miss Misanthropist.

Democracy Has Departed The West

By Paul Craig Roberts: Before the West spreads democracy abroad maybe it could get some for itself. The US is an oligarchy in which government is answerable to six powerful private interest groups. In Europe governments are answerable to the EU, Washington, and private bankers and not to their peoples. In the UK the military brass has declared its hold on the reins of power.
Jeremy Corbyn is the first Labourite to lead the Labour Party in a long time. Considering the stupidity and immorality of the Tories, Corbyn could become prime minister of Britain. Should this occur, Corbyn would shift the budget priorities away from supporting Washington’s wars toward refurbishing the social welfare state that made life for ordinary Britishers more secure and less stressful.
A senior serving general of the British army said that the army would not allow the people to “put a maverick in charge of the country’s security. The Army just wouldn’t stand for it and would use whatever means possible, fair or foul, to prevent that.”
In other words, a democratic outcome unacceptable to the English military will be overthrown. Just like in Egypt.
Here we have the incongruity of Washington and London bringing democracy to others through what Vladimir Putin calls “airstrike democracy,” while tolerating a democracy deficit themselves. The safest conclusion is that democracy is a cloak for an aggressive agenda, not a value in itself to the US and UK elites, who rule and who intend to continue to rule these countries for their personal benefit.

Germany Is Helping Washington Neo-Con-Artists Pave The Road To Armageddon

Kremlin promises ‘counter-steps’ in reply to US deploying nuclear weapons to Germany
RT: The planned deployment of the latest US nuclear bombs at the Buchel Air Base in Germany would disrupt the strategic balance of forces in Europe and could force a reaction from Russia, President Vladimir Putin’s press secretary has stated.
It may lead to the destruction of the strategic balance in Europe. Therefore it would definitely cause Russia to take corresponding counter-steps and counter-measures in order to restore the strategic balance and parity,” Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.
This is another step and unfortunately it is a very serious step towards increase of tensions on the European continent. Such actions cannot be described as a step towards stronger trust and greater stability,” the Russian official added.
The statement was prompted by news this week circulated by the German television channel ZDF, which found out from US budget documents about the US Air Force’s plans to bring new B61 nuclear bombs to the Luftwaffe’s Buchel Air Base. It currently hosts Tornado multipurpose aircraft that are capable of carrying atomic weapons. Twenty older bombs are stored at the base under a nuclear sharing deal, while it is the only facility in Germany, which has kept nuclear weapons since 2007.
