World Economy Manias

Max and Stacy discuss the world economy going from mania to mania hoping it all pays off, as it did for fantasy and sci-fi writer, Ray Bradbury. In the second half Max continues his interview with Professor Steve Keen on Donald Trump’s debt plans and the UK’s shrinking manufacturing.

Watch Ron Paul Destroy The Two-Party System

“I’ve never bought into this idea that the lesser of two evils is a good idea.” — Ron Paul
May 15, 2016 "Information Clearing House" - "Antimedia" -  Longtime congressman and former presidential candidate Ron Paul made it clear in a recent interview on CNN that he will vote 3rd party if the presidential race comes down to Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton.
Though Paul didn’t specify which candidate he would vote for, he did say Libertarian or Independent party candidates are a possibility. Paul also said he couldn’t support Ted Cruz, who has since dropped out of the race, because he’s a “theocrat” who wants to rule with religion. Paul didn’t comment on his specific reasons for not supporting Clinton, but one can speculate the fiercely anti-war Paul opposes her militaristic tendencies.
Then Paul went even further, saying both the Republican and Democratic parties — from Reagan to Obama — are controlled by the “Deep State” and powerful special interests.

Bristol SU Save The Male Discussion - Absolute Joke

The idea it was hosted by a panel of experts is laughable – experts don’t start every point or sentence with “I think”, “I feel” or “I believe”. It’s almost as if the panel had done no research whatsoever.
By Jordan Holbrook:  Lo and behold, would you believe that yet another student panel on a topical men’s issue would be derailed by feminist virtue-signalling and man-blaming? It’s almost as if this sort of thing never happens! Yet, I am afraid to report, it happened at the Bristol SU “debate” titled Save the Male, as part of their Mind Your Head month that was held at the University of Bristol on Wednesday 4th March.
The panel featured Natalie Jester, PhD candidate at University of Bristol; Ben Marshall, 4th year Engineering student and another fellow who only said his name once, alas I could not find him on the Facebook event page. In fact, according to posts on said Facebook event page, there was supposed to be another speaker yet it wasn’t until the event when we were informed that this speaker had dropped out. Such an organised panel of field tested experts, I see.
The discussion started with the trailer video from The Representation Project “The Mask You Live In”, a terrible depiction of the issue of male suffering which essentially says that men are defective women (that tired argument) because they can’t be like women and talk about their feelings. It features young boys talking about their issues and the trailer states that because they are masculine is why they are suffering.

Golders Green Anti-Male Infant Ritual Genital Mutilation [AKA Circumcision] Protest 12-05-16

Needless to say we weren’t entirely welcome
By Jordan Holbrook: The protest, organised by Mike Buchanan, leader of the political party Justice For Men & Boys, started at 1300 sharp and by the time I arrived several were already present, setting up banners and talking with the local police – they had arrived to oversee the demonstration. It was a hot day, certainly perfect weather for a protest, people will be out and about, living their lives and hearing what we have to say. We were collecting outside the Temple Fortune Clinic, this location had been chosen because Dr Martin Harris, a known genital mutilator, worked here. We were hoping to see him.
We were generally met with positive reception, although inevitably there were those who came and argued. A man claiming to be a doctor came out to inform us how we were wrong and did not know anything. Alas he was not Doctor
Martin Harris, the man we had come to see. He, despite giving no credentials nor any evidence himself, argued with a pretentious certainty that what he was saying was correct and what we were saying was not. “Circumcision has no lasting, negative effects”. I’m sorry sir, but there were several men, in fact several circumcised men, who were present that would very much beg to differ.

Why Aren’t Hiroshima And Nagasaki War Crimes?

By Jacob G. Hornberger: I don’t get it. On the one hand, we’re told that the intentional targeting of civilians in wartime is a war crime. On the other hand, we’re told that the intentional targeting of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with nuclear bombs was not a war crime.
Which is it?
The issue is back in the news with President Obama’s decision to visit Hiroshima. The question that is being debated is whether he should apologize for President Truman’s decision to order U.S. troops to drop nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II.
If the targeting of civilians in wartime is okay, then clearly the decision to nuke the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was not a war crime.
But if that’s the case, then why was U.S. Army Lt. William Calley prosecuted during the Vietnam War? He’s the officer who intentionally killed several defenseless women and children in a Vietnamese village. The military prosecuted and convicted him of a war crime. Why? If it’s not a war crime to intentionally kill women and children in wartime, then why was Calley prosecuted and convicted of war crimes?

The Demoralized Mind

Western consumer culture is creating a psycho-spiritual crisis that leaves us disoriented and bereft of purpose. How can we treat our sick culture and make ourselves well?
By John F Schumaker: Our descent into the Age of Depression seems unstoppable. Three decades ago, the average age for the first onset of depression was 30. Today it is 14. Researchers such as Stephen Izard at Duke University point out that the rate of depression in Western industrialized societies is doubling with each successive generational cohort. At this pace, over 50 per cent of our younger generation, aged 18-29, will succumb to it by middle age. Extrapolating one generation further, we arrive at the dire conclusion that virtually everyone will fall prey to depression.
By contrast to many traditional cultures that lack depression entirely, or even a word for it, Western consumer culture is certainly depression-prone. But depression is so much a part of our vocabulary that the word itself has come to describe mental states that should be understood differently. In fact, when people with a diagnosis of depression are examined more closely, the majority do not actually fit that diagnosis. In the largest study of its kind, Ramin Mojtabai of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health sampled over 5,600 cases and found that only 38 per cent of them met the criteria for depression.
