What Makes A Coon?

"In the black community coon is an established
cultural axiom, ..so what actually makes someone
guilty of being a coon?" That Guy T.

Russia Is Fighting A Lethal Enemy

By Petr Akopov for Vzgliad ~ translated by Edvin Buday: London’s boorish behaviour has resulted in a fiery reaction within Russia – from indignation to jokes about “Little Britain”. Sadly, such derision is not the best possible answer. For we are dealing with a threat that is far from comical, and the entire history of relations between Russia and Britain is proof of that.
Great Britain’s behaviour in the Skripal affair is openly provocative: accusations against Russia, a recommendation to “put a sock in it”, declarations about Putin’s personal involvement. All of this, of course, is causing indignation in Russia.
But if it is possible to understand our civil society’s indignation, deriding Britain and her elites is totally incorrect. Discourse about “Little Britain”, about how “Lil’ England” has lost its influence and is slandering Russia in an impotent rage look strange. All of this is not even suitable as banal retaliatory propaganda, seeing as it is a distortion of reality.
It is in our interest to be honest. For several years now, we have been in open conflict with the global elite, with those who have a defining influence on world affairs. It is precisely this force that is now speaking through the mouths of May and Johnson.

The Untold Story Of Neo-Con-Artist John Bolton’s Zionist Campaign For War With Iran

Everyone knows Bolton is a warmonger.
Less understood is how he laboured in secret
to drive Washington and Tehran apart.
By Gareth Porter: In my reporting on U.S.-Israeli policy, I have tracked numerous episodes in which the United States and/or Israel made moves that seemed to indicate preparations for war against Iran. Each time—in 2007, in 2008, and again in 2011—those moves, presented in corporate media as presaging attacks on Tehran, were actually bluffs aimed at putting pressure on the Iranian government.
But the strong likelihood that Donald Trump will now choose John Bolton as his next national security advisor creates a prospect of war with Iran that is very real. Bolton is no ordinary neoconservative hawk. He has been obsessed for many years with going to war against the Islamic Republic, calling repeatedly for bombing Iran in his regular appearances on Fox News, without the slightest indication that he understands the consequences of such a policy.
His is not merely a rhetorical stance: Bolton actively conspired during his tenure as the Bush administration’s policymaker on Iran from 2002 through 2004 to establish the political conditions necessary for the administration to carry out military action.

5 Privacies You Didn't Know You Lost

Corbett: We all know that privacy is a thing of the past, right? Pfff. The government spying on everyone? That's yesterday's news. But if you think you've heard it all when it comes to the obtrusive police state panopticon, you've got another thing coming. Here are five privacies you didn't even realize you lost.

Taylor Force Act About To Sneak Through US Congress, Perpetuating Oppression Of Palestinians By Jews

The Taylor Force Act will probably become law
by the end of the week. Two tragedies will be perpetuated: Palestinians will continue to be seen as terrorists, unworthy of food and shelter; and Israel will continue unabated in spending American money
to kill and imprison them.
By Kathryn Shihadah: The Taylor Force Act, which has been working its way through Congress since February 2017, is likely to become law this week, tucked away inside an omnibus spending bill that, if it fails to pass, will result in government shutdown.
The bill (HR1164, S 1697), named after Taylor Force, a young man who was killed by a Palestinian in Tel Aviv in March 2016, is designed to withhold economic assistance to the Palestinian Authority until it stops “making payments to terrorists in Israeli prisons and to the families of deceased terrorists.”
The alleged “pay-to-slay” practice is widely condemned in both houses of Congress because it supposedly incentivizes terrorism.
However, this interpretation of the Palestinian Authority policy is based on a nearly universal misunderstanding of the program, which presupposes Palestinians to be terrorists with a death wish, rather recognizing that they are people who embrace life like everyone else.

Feminist Theory In NUJ Practices

'Women’s Aid is slowly taking command of both the judiciary
and the media. Orwell would
be impressed.'
By Jordan Holbrook: On Monday 6th March, Welsh Women’s Aid delivered training with the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) on how to report on Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG). The event included talks from the Head of Training & Survivor Participation of Welsh Women’s Aid Mwenya Chimba and panels with producers, directors and survivors of domestic abuse & violence.
On Monday 6th March, Welsh Women’s Aid delivered training with the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) on how to report on Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG). The event included talks from the Head of Training & Survivor Participation of Welsh Women’s Aid Mwenya Chimba and panels with producers, directors and survivors of domestic abuse & violence.
The event was well attended and, for the most part, did a great job of highlighting and discussing the stories shared by the survivors of violence. However, the literature supplied and guidelines prescribed are misguided at best – I’ve written before about the problems of Women’s Aid. Take the flyer below which shows how the VAWG narrative is co-opting non-female victims and including them as victims of VAWG. This was also done in the ‘Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy 2017 – 2020’ report which shows 27% of the two women a week killed by a partner or ex-partner are men (28 men, 77 women per year).

Snowden Explains Deep State’s Influence On Presidents Obama, Trump

truthinmedia: Famed whistleblower Edward Snowden was recently interviewed by Italian publication La Repubblic. The publication noted the 5-year mark of Snowden’s historic act of blowing the whistle on the NSA’s expansive surveillance programs and that “many thought he would end up very badly, but when he connects via videolink for this interview with la Repubblica, he seems to be doing very well: the frank smile and peaceful face of someone who is easy in his mind.”
In an excerpt from the exclusive interview, Snowden explained how the presidencies of both Obama and Trump are shaped by the Deep State following an illuminating question by journalist Stefania Maurizi.
Stefania Maurizi: We saw that President Obama, who was an outsider to the US military-intelligence complex, initially wanted to reign in the abuses of agencies like the CIA and the NSA, but in the end he did very little. Now we see a confrontation between president Trump and so-called Deep State, which includes the CIA and the NSA. Can a US president govern in opposition to such powerful entities?
Edward Snowden: Obama is certainly an instructive case. This is a president who campaigned on a platform of ending warrantless wiretapping in the United States, he said “that’s not who we are, that’s not what we do,” and once he became the president, he expanded the program. He said he was going to close Guantanamo but he kept it open,

Sir James Munby Calls For Overhaul Of UK Marriage Law "It’s Risible That Men Must Pay Ex-Wives For Life

Via Mike P, J4MB: The start of the piece:
Britain’s most senior family judge called for an overhaul of marriage law yesterday, saying people would one day laugh at the idea that a man had to support his ex-wife for life.
Sir James Munby called for equality for divorcees when maintenance payments are settled by the courts, highlighting ‘absurd’ divorce settlements that are unfairly biased against men. [J4MB emphasis]
Sir James, who is president of the family division of the High Court, also said cohabitees should have the same status as married couples, [J4MB: An outrageous suggestion, especially if the associated legislation were retrospective, prompting many greedy women to leave their partners, and steal the assets the men had inherited and/or worked for] and fault-free divorces should be introduced.
